D VESTIBULE
D VESTIBULE
PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
WHAT WE DID
RKA recently completed part of a three phase project at PHL where we remodeled the entrance and vestibule for D terminal on the departures side of the airport. This remodel provided a brand-new facade for the building which was constructed in accordance with the regulations set by the City of Philadelphia and the Department of Aviation.

UNIQUE TO THIS PROJECT
RKA demoed the entire existing facade, entrance, and vestibule to install all new stone columns, sliding doors, and light fixtures. We also installed brand new air curtains for each of the sliding doors to aid with temperature control during the summer and winter. The most difficult part of this project was completing the necessary work from within the barricades that were put up so that the airport guests were not exposed to a full construction site upon their arrival. Despite this challenge, RKA was able to complete this phase of the project to produce a welcoming final product.
