As a Superintendent, Rick runs the day to day operations on the job site as well as maintains the short term schedule. Rick, also directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship. While carrying out his obligations, Rick maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
Rick’s 32 years in the business as a trained carpenter enables him to lead the construction team from conception to production.

Rick's organization, communication, and problem solving skills aided in controlling the work environment of this job. Rick also ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the protection policies in order to maintain a safe job site. Rick's tactful planning and time management has helped to assure the timeliness and effectiveness of building the Pandora store.

In preparation for this job Rick helped review and plan for materials, safety, labor and equipment budgets. As the foreman, Rick looked at and interpreted specifications and plans which allowed for expert planning and execution of the job.
AU BON PAIN, (17 total locations) Including- Philadelphia Airport, University of Penn, Commerce Square
One of the many challenges of this build was the coordination with the airport and other contractors throughout the project. All ductwork, piping and flues had to be routed across the ceiling and through a common chase in the adjacent restaurant space. Working together with the airport engineers and other tenant contractors, Russ Kelly Inc. completed the task under the tight schedule with the help of Rick overseeing the job site.
PHILLY PRETZEL FACTORY, Philadelphia Airport
Philly Pretzel has a suspended steel trellis structure supporting the flat-screen menu boards. Warehouse Lighting and brick tile tie in the stone and metal counter line to complete the industrial look. Rick's presence on the job site allowed for a cooperative work environment as well as ensured that the project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date were met.
VERNICK FOOD AND DRINK, 2031 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA
The steel staircase at Vernick Food and Drink is a one-of-a-kind creation provided by Russ Kelly Inc. A total reconstruction of the second floor framing was necessary to facilitate the staircase in its location. Structural steel and wood members were included in the reconstruction to facilitate the spiral like design. The 2600 lb. Wood fired oven was an install challenge that RKI completed. Conducting and participating in planning and safety meetings, Rick, was able to help the job progress quickly and proficiently.
LE BEC FIN, Center City, Philadelphia
Custom seating added to the inviting essence of Le Bec Fin while the custom semi translucent panel art on the walls gave the lounge a modernized appeal. During this job Rick's ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively was an asset to the job site.
