Russ Kelly & Associates had to expose the demising walls down to the old plaster and old brick as the owners wanted customers sitting in that area to feel as though they were eating outside. RKA also constructed a brand new kitchen with a new exhaust hood and all new equipment.
To add to the unique look of the restaurant RKA installed old pallet lumber on the walls. We also moved old elevator doors down from the third and fourth floors and mounted them to the brick and plaster walls in the front seating area which added to the unique appearance of the restaurant.
Russ Kelly & Associates' resourceful team worked diligently on the project and found immediate solutions to any problems. When there was not enough room on the roof for the make up air unit, RKA added steel beams on the ceiling above the storage area to carry the weight of the over 1000 pound unit.
Russ Kelly & Associates was able to determine that the domestic line in the basement was tied into the sprinkler and thus not up to code and needed to changed. Working closely with the City of Philadelphia, RKA determined through multiple meetings a whole new water service needed to be installed in the building which our team immediately implemented.
